Alison Wright has been an English actor for more than 20 years. She received Emmy awards in the year 2017 for her role as Martha Hanson, the star of the FX's period-set spy show The Americans. Other credits for her acting include the Ryan Murphy series Feud, Bette & Joan in Hollywood. Wright who was adopted by her parents was born in Sunderland in 1976. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as The Barrow Group in New York City. While auditioning for parts in the theatre, she was a server. Scuba diving, a passion of hers in the moment, she had a cardiac incident which put her in the in a coma. After a few days she passed away in peace, surrounded by her beloved family, who flew to be by her side at the hospital. Wright was born at Sunderland located in Tyne and Wear on July 12th, 1976 was raised there by her parents who adopted her. She began dancing and acting at a young age.
